Ingredients

4 endives, halved lengthwise
45 ml (3 tbsp) butter
175 ml (â…” cup / 75 g) grated Parmesan
1 ml (¼ tsp) grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 210°C / 425°F.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter. Place the endives face down and cook over medium heat, turning once to brown both sides lightly.
  3. Transfer the endives to a buttered oven-to-table baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle with the cheese and nutmeg and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly and the endives are tender.
  5. Serve immediately.
