Ingredients
- 1 lb short-crust pastry
- 1 cup almonds finely ground
- 1 1/2 lb seedless grapes halved
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp dark rum
- 5 amaretti cookies crushed

Instructions
- Prepare the pastry, adding ½ cup ground almonds to the dough. Set aside to rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to a 12-inch round. Fit the dough into a 9-inch pie plate, trimming the edges if needed.
- Preheat the oven to 350oF.
- Sauté the grapes in the butter in a skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Increase heat to high and add the brown sugar and rum. Stir well and remove from the heat.
- Sprinkle the cookies over the pastry. Add the grapes and juice. Sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup almonds.
- Bake from 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool completely in the pan on a rack.
