Mystery object of the month: What is it?
George Holler of Toronto writes, “This cast iron pot measures eight inches in height and sits on top of what appears to be some sort of burner (at right). The burner measures three inches across the bottom, which looks as though it’s supposed to screw into something else. Does anyone know what it is or what it was used for?”
