What is It? – June/July 2013

Serena Reber of Woking, Alta., writes, “This item is leather with a metal buckle and rings. It measures 11 inches in length and is two inches wide at the top. We don’t know where it originated, but it has been in our tack shed for years. We may have acquired it from a farm auction in a box of miscellaneous items, but we’re not sure.” Any ideas, readers?
