Henry Schouten of Mississauga, Ont., writes, “I bought this small device at an antique market recently. It measures five centimetres by five centimetres. When you press the button on top, a long, metal tape can be pulled out, but there are no measurements on it. It also has a cone-shaped protrusion on one side, and a small tool inside the casing that can be removed. Can anyone help?”
