What Is It? – November 2014

Patti Hockley of Elkford, B.C., writes, “I’m hoping someone knows what this object is used for. My boyfriend’s grandpa has a farm in the Yorkton, Sask., area, which is where we found it. It’s made of cast iron and measures 16½ inches when fully open-the two smaller rings disconnect from the larger one-and 9½ inches when closed.” Any ideas, readers?
