Rick Merrell of Surrey, B.C., says “I found this tool in a barn in the Kootenays. It seems to be a reamer of sorts, but is too coarse to use on a firearm. The brass vial, which acts as a handle (when all rods are assembled), must have held some type of grease. There are no manufacturers markings, and it is very well engineered. Any ideas?”
